*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by supporting our hygienists in prepping hygiene rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, managing patient flow, handling room turnover, updating patient records, and assisting with periodontal charting, allowing hygienists to focus on cleaning and patient education. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and excellent interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming environment for patients. *Responsibilities* - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. - Maintain accurate patient records and assist with the management of patient appointments. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care. - Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. - Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients. - Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling and record management. *Skills* - Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. - Experience in dental assisting with a solid understanding of anatomy related to dentistry. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism. - Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages. - Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, enhancing overall clinic efficiency.
