Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic, technology-driven team in Encinitas, CA. As an RDA, you will play a key role in supporting our doctors during a wide range of procedures. Everything from routine care to complex restorative and full mouth reconstruction cases. You will contribute to a positive patient experience through efficient four-handed dentistry, strict infection control, and seamless use of our digital systems. Duties Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and patient comfort during restorative, prosthetic, endodontic, and comprehensive full mouth reconstruction procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all supplies and equipment are ready for procedures while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. Take and process digital radiographs, including operating our CBCT machine for 3D imaging, and assist with digital impressions and imaging workflows. Accurately chart findings, enter patient information, and manage records using our practice management systems ( Open Dental , Eaglesoft , and Sidexis ). Support expanded RDA functions as permitted in California, such as placing bases/liners, etching/bonding agents, provisional restorations, and other chairside tasks under dentist supervision. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and treatment plans in a clear, compassionate manner. Monitor patient comfort, take vital signs when needed, and maintain a calm, welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Collaborate closely with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding patient outcomes. Assist with general office tasks, including maintaining inventory and supporting front-office flow when required. Uphold strict HIPAA compliance and all safety protocols at all times. Skills Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in good standing. Strong computer literacy and experience (or quick ability to learn) dental software systems, including Open Dental , Eaglesoft , and Sidexis . Proficiency in four-handed dentistry, digital radiography, CBCT imaging, and chairside support for general and complex restorative procedures. Excellent knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols, and dental materials/terminology. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and reassure patients while working effectively as part of a team. Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a busy clinical setting. Positive, motivated attitude with a genuine desire to learn, grow, and deliver high-quality patient care. Experience with advanced technology (digital imaging, 3D scanning/CBCT) is highly preferred.
