Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fontana, CA
Overview We need an assistant with experience/knowledge assisting in all aspects ie General dentistry, X-RAY taking. Patient communication. This position is full/part time. (Part time is Wednesday,Thursday and Friday) Responsibilities Assist dentists with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management Collect vital signs and medical history information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and updating electronic health records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance using clear dental terminology Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and medical coding for insurance purposes Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport Experience with medical documentation including vital signs recording and medical records management is highly valued Bilingual A Must English/Spanish Pay depends on Experience Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
