Dental Assistant in Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled, friendly and organized Dental Assistant to join our privately owned family dental practice. This is a full time position, approximately 32-38 hours Monday - Thursday, in a welcoming, non-corporate environment where patient care comes first and staff is treated like family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist in various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and providing exceptional patient care.

** 5+ YEARS OF HANDS ON DENTAL ASSISTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED **

Position Details:

• Part time ( approx. 32-38 hours/week)
• Work alongside our private practice dentists
• Place back office orders. Communicate with vendors, labs and OM
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take digital X-rays, CT and IOs
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate charting along with having patients sign consent forms chairside
• Work with Doctor and Manager to assure all tasks are being completed

Qualifications:

• Minimum (5) years dental assisting experience
• Knowledge of digital X-rays and chairside assisting
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations/Manage infection control
• Ability to multitask, help and assist back office staff ( Work as a team)
• Proficient in Dentrix software
• Ability to take direction and work well with office staff
