Responsibilities Deliver thorough, gentle, and comprehensive periodontal assessments, preventive care, and maintenance therapy. Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting, and oral cancer screenings. Acquire high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images. Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease prevention, home care techniques, and treatment recommendations. Partner closely with the doctor to identify comprehensive treatment needs and support case acceptance through patient education. Create a calm, welcoming, and personalized experience for every patient. Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and treatment records. Follow all OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection control protocols. Prepare treatment rooms, maintain sterilization standards, and ensure clinical excellence throughout the patient visit. Build lasting relationships with patients through professionalism, empathy, and exceptional communication. Qualifications Current California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing. Local anesthesia certification. CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of clinical hygiene experience preferred. Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance with a polished, service-oriented demeanor. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
