Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Mission Viejo, CA

Job description: Our dental practice is seeking for an exceptional candidate to be part of our team. We are looking for a Dental Receptionist who can work alongside a group of passionate and knowledgeable dental team committed to providing quality dental work and excellent customer service to our patients. We are looking for someone who can work full-time or part-time for Mondays and Thursdays; Fridays and Saturdays or on all the 4 days specified. Our work schedule is MONDAYS, THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We sometimes open our TUESDAYS for overflow patients at least 1 or 2x a month. The compensation is dependent on experience and skills of the applicant. Knowledge in navigating Eaglesoft program is a must and 8hr. infection control class required. Dental X-ray License is a plus but not required . Responsibilities (For Dental Receptionist Position) The phone will not ring (all the calls will be forwarded to our Office Manager) but if it does, we expect that the front office will have the skills and experience in answering phone calls and redirect the call or inquiries back to the office manager. We are looking for someone who can perform the following but not limited to: Meet and greet the patients as they walk-in the office. Interact with the patients and answers their questions and inquiries. Discuss treatment plan to the patient. Collect and post insurance/patient payments. Confirm and schedule the next appointment/s of all the patients seen for the day. Call and coordinate laboratory pick-up and delivery of cases. Prepare and mail account receivables. Forward important calls, inquiries and major treatment plan presentations to the Office Manager. Help the back office in sterilizing instruments and cleaning operatories, when needed. Skills Familiarity with dental documentation standards and procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
