Initially, this role will be primarily focused on supporting our dental hygiene department, helping our hygienists provide efficient, high-quality care while keeping the clinical day moving smoothly. As Battlefield Family Dentistry continues to grow, the responsibilities of this position may evolve to include increased doctor chairside assisting and other clinical support responsibilities based on the needs of the practice. Initially, your primary focus will be supporting the hygiene department, including: Assist hygienists with patient flow and clinical needs throughout the day Prepare, set up, and turn over hygiene operatories Take X-rays and digital scans as permitted by certification and training Support periodontal charting and clinical documentation as appropriate Help keep hygiene appointments running efficiently and on time Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standards Help patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix Support overall clinical flow, stocking, organization, and readiness As the practice grows, this position may also include: Chairside assisting with the dentist during a variety of procedures Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for doctor procedures Providing post-treatment instructions and patient education Supporting additional clinical responsibilities based on training, qualifications, and practice needs Weâre intentionally looking for someone who is comfortable with a role that can grow and evolve with the practice. What Weâre Looking For Dental assisting experience preferred Current X-ray certification Strong understanding of sterilization and infection control Excellent communication and patient-care skills Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a changing environment A positive team player who is willing to help where needed Comfortable supporting both hygiene and doctor workflows Experience with digital X-rays, digital scanning, and Dentrix is a plus Most importantly, someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow with the practice Schedule Full-time, Monday through Thursday Schedule and hours may adjust as the practice continues to develop.
