Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining high standards of infection control, and delivering a comfortable experience for our patients. Your expertise in dental terminology, medical documentation, and chairside assisting will contribute to the overall success of our practice. Duties Assist dentists during various dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools. Manage patient records efficiently within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation when necessary for patients with special health considerations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
