Dental Assistant Position for Periodontist/Dental Implant Surgeon Specialty Practice in Huntington Beach

This job offer is for a Periodontal/Surgical Dental Assistant Position in our Periodontal Specialty Practice.  We are a motivated and forward-thinking team, and we are looking for someone to join our newly remodeled Huntington Beach Periodontal and Dental Implant Specialty Practice.

We prefer RDA’s but will interview DA’s as well. You must be a team player, great with people, have excellent communication skills, and be a responsible professional. Experience with Dentrix, Dexis, and Dental Implants is a plus but not mandatory. Most importantly, you should truly enjoy serving patients and have a natural enthusiasm for the field of dentistry.

Skills & Qualities Needed

• Great communication and people skills

• Familiarity with Dentrix/Dexis a plus
• Comfortable with impressions, x-rays, and maintaining impeccable sterilization standards
• Experience in Periodontal or Dental Implant procedures preferred (willing to train the right person)

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures and chairside dental support
• Maintain tray set-ups, operatories, and sterilization areas
• Take impressions, x-rays, CT scans, and photos as needed
• Professionally greet patients, record vitals, and assist in consultations
• Provide clear post-op instructions to patients
• Support front office with scheduling, patient communication, billing, and check-out
• Represent the practice with professionalism, warmth, and commitment to patient care
