Dental Assistant opportunity in Corona, CA

Our dental office is seeking an exceptional Dental Assistant to enhance our patient care services.

Clinical Setting

Our facility features advanced dental equipment and digital imaging systems, allowing our team to provide comprehensive care efficiently. We prioritize patient comfort and maintain strict standards for infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including extractions, endodontics and general dentistry.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Take digital dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols.
• Manage patient records using electronic dental record system (Open Dental) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor vital signs and documentation for patients as needed.
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, managing patient anxiety, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while supporting the dental team with instrument processing and dental sterilization procedures.
• Support the dental reception personnel by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments when needed
• Follow infection control protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination and promote a safe clinical environment.

Experience

• Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy is essential.
• Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.
• Familiarity with working with children is a plus.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, dental anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures across various specialties like endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry.
• Experience in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures is required to ensure safety standards are met consistently.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages.
