We are seeking a versatile, highly organized, and patient-focused Dental Assistant & Receptionist to join our team. In this dual role, you will split your time between running the front desk operations and providing direct clinical chairside assistance. The ideal candidate switches seamlessly between welcoming patients, managing insurance, assisting the doctor during procedures, and maintaining rigorous infection control protocols. Clinical & Chairside Assistance (Back Office) P rovide chairside assistance to the dentist during exams, fillings, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic procedures. Review patient chart histories, record vital signs, and update treatment notes accurately in the digital chart. Expose and process diagnostic dental X-rays (intraoral and panoramic) safely under the dentist's direction. Sterilize, package, and track clinical instruments using autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaning units following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Disinfect and turn over treatment operatories quickly between patients to keep the practice running on schedule. Fabricate provisional crowns, take preliminary impressions, and manage lab cases coming in and out of the office. Front Desk & Practice Administration (Front Office) Greet incoming patients, manage the check-in and check-out workflows, and handle new patient onboarding documentation. Manage the master practice schedule by answering phone calls, scheduling cleanings, prioritizing emergency walk-ins, and handling recalls. Verify dental insurance eligibility, calculate patient copays, and break down complex out-of-pocket costs during treatment plan presentations. Collect and post patient payments, handle daily billing procedures, and submit electronic claims to insurance companies. Maintain complete compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations at all times.
