Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our Poway Pediatric Dental team! Our practice is focused on providing a positive, comfortable, and fun dental experience for children and their families. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. Requirements Current California RDA license – REQUIRED Previous dental assisting experience – REQUIRED Pediatric dental experience preferred Familiarity with OSHA standards, infection control, and dental safety protocols Knowledge of proper sterilization and disinfection procedures Comfortable taking dental X-rays Strong communication and organizational skills Friendly, professional, and patient—especially when working with children Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Take diagnostic dental X-rays Perform RDA duties within the scope of California regulations Follow OSHA, infection-control, sterilization, and safety protocols Help children feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments Provide patients and parents with post-treatment instructions as directed Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment areas Work closely with the clinical and front-office teams to keep the schedule running efficiently What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and understands that pediatric dentistry requires patience, energy, compassion, and excellent communication .
