Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Manhattan, NY

We are currently seeking an experienced Front Office Coordinator to join our growing dental practice!
Dental experience is required. Dental assisting experience is a plus!
We are looking for a highly motivated, outgoing, energetic, and dependable individual who takes initiative and enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate is a team player who can adapt to different personalities, multitask in a busy environment, and is always looking for ways to improve office operations and the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage the check-in and check-out process in a friendly, professional manner.

Schedule and coordinate dental appointments efficiently.

Confidently present treatment plans, explain treatment costs, and discuss financial arrangements with patients.

Collect payments at the time of service and manage patient billing.

Oversee dental insurance claim submissions, follow-ups, and processing.

Communicate office financial policies and assist patients with payment options.

Maintain a productive schedule for doctors and hygienists, minimizing gaps and maximizing efficiency.

Manage patient recall, continuing care, and unscheduled treatment follow-ups.

Verify dental insurance benefits and demonstrate a strong understanding of PPO insurance plans.

Maintain accurate patient records and detailed documentation.

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
Qualifications & Skills

Previous dental front office experience is required.

Dental assisting experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and PPO insurance.

Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting payments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
