What You'll Do Assist the doctor during a variety of general dentistry procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care. Follow sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety protocols. Take digital radiographs and assist with clinical charting. Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits. Provide appropriate post-operative instructions and patient education. Help maintain clinical inventory and an organized, efficient back office. Communicate with the front office and clinical team to keep the schedule running smoothly. Anticipate the doctor's needs and look for ways to make the patient experience better. Take initiative and help wherever needed to keep the practice running efficiently. As you grow in the role, you'll have opportunities to develop your clinical skills, take on additional responsibilities, and work toward a leadership position within the practice. Qualifications Completion of an Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program or at least 6 months of dental assisting experience. A willingness to learn our systems, accept feedback, and continue developing your skills. CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain it. Reliable transportation Ability to work between our Margate and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea offices, primarily in Margate. Experience with Open Dental, digital scanners, expanded functions, and dental billing codes is a plus, but these are not requirements for the right candidate.
