Job OverviewWe seek an experienced and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a well-established, high-performing orthodontics in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in orthodontic procedures, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. In addition to hourly compensation, this position is eligible for a discretionary monthly bonus.
Duties
Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop x-rays as directed by the orthodontist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Manage inventory and order office/clinical supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient flow and enhance patient experience.
Other duties as needed
ExperienceCandidates should have prior experience in a dental clinic setting, with familiarity in the following areas being highly desirable:
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California
Certification in radiology, coronal polishing, and CPR (as required by state regulations).
Previous orthodontic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Proficiency in dental software
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
