Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays), iTero scanning, CBCT, PANO as directed by the dentist, ensuring proper safety measures are followed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

• A commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of infection control practices related to dental procedures.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the team.
• Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
• Proficiency in ADA coding related to dental services is a plus.
• Understanding of general dentistry practices and procedures is beneficial.
• Experience with electronic health records systems such as Open Dental is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
