Dental Assistant - Potomac Pediatric Dentistry - Dumfries, VA

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our pediatric team. As a Dental Assistant , you will work closely with the dentist to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, taking patient vital signs, documenting medical information, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients. MUST BE EXPERIENCED Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments, materials, and equipment - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and trimming models - Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Requirements: MUST HAVE -Customer services skills - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program - Current CPR certification - Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures - Proficiency in using dental software systems for medical documentation - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
