RDA or EFDA position in Valley Village, CA

Our dental team is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to help our growing practice. Looking for an energetic team member with attention to detail to help create a welcoming environment for patients. We are a patient-centered general dental office dedicated to excellence in general dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various restorative procedures with confidence and efficiency
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques
• Take high-quality X-rays, including Itero scans, while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.
• Manage dental records, we use Open Dental, to ensure accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and compliance
• Maintain infection control standards by adhering to HIPAA regulations and proper sterilization procedures for all dental tools and surfaces

Requirements

• Valid RDA or EFDA certification with current licensure in good standing
• Proven experience in chairside dental assisting.
• Proficiency with Open dental and Itero scanning is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to perform dental X-rays accurately while ensuring patient safety and comfort. We use Dexis.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices related to dental procedures.
