Full job description Job Title: Experienced Dental Assistant Location: Michigan Dental Studio Rochester Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time About Our Practice WE ARE GROWING!! Michigan Dental Studio has just opened its second location in Rochester, MI. We are looking to add an experienced Dental Assistants to our already amazing team. We are a patient-focused, independently owned dental practice committed to providing high-quality care in a friendly and professional environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Dental Assistant who is dependable, motivated, and passionate about dentistry. Position Overview The Dental Assistant will work directly with the dentist and team members to provide exceptional patient care and ensure efficient clinical operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to infection control protocols Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout procedures Provide patients with post-operative and oral hygiene instructions Maintain accurate patient records and charting in dental software Set up and break down operatories before and after procedures Manage dental materials and supplies inventory Support the front office team when needed Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines at all times Qualifications Minimum 1 + years of dental assisting experience preferred Radiography certification preferred but not required Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols Experience with Ascend dental software is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a clinical environment Reliable, punctual, and professional Experience with intraoral scanners is a plus Knowledge of chairside assisting for restorative, crown/bridge, and implants Strong patient education skills Team-oriented attitude Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Employee dental benefits Continuing education opportunities Supportive and positive work environment Schedule Monday â Thursday, NO FRIDAYS or WEEKENDS How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter describing your dental assisting experience and why you would be a great fit for our team.
