Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual (Spanish/English) Dental Treatment Coordinator with a passion for providing exceptional patient service and a keen understanding of dental office operations. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between patients and the dental team, coordinating treatment plans, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring seamless communication. Duties Greet patients warmly at the front desk, providing excellent customer service with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system management Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance verification, and explain coverage details clearly to patients Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring optimal clinic flow Review patient documentation for completeness and accuracy, including medical history updates and consent forms Assist patients with treatment plan explanations, emphasizing the importance of recommended procedures to encourage acceptance and compliance Manage billing processes by coding procedures with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes, and handling medical billing and collections Maintain accurate dental records, medical records, and electronic health information using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Meditech or eClinicalWorks Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient files in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations, including intake procedures and care plan development Skills Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills in both languages 5 years of experience in dentistry Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical billing practices Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Athenahealth, or similar platforms Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance and documentation review processes Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) with strong typing skills (including 10-key typing) for efficient data entry Knowledge of insurance verification procedures for Medicare and other insurance providers Prior clinic or dental office experience demonstrating excellent patient service skills and office management capabilities Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks such as filing, scheduling, phone etiquette, and front desk duties effectively Understanding of medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), medical billing processes, care plans development, and hospital or clinic experience preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management Join our team to make a positive impact on patientsâ lives while advancing your career in a vibrant dental practice!
