Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and help maintain a clean and organized environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Manage patient records, ensuring all medical documentation is accurate and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs when necessary, ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling and record management. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, prosthodontics, and 3D scanning technology to enhance patient care. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn. Knowledge of dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices is essential. Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology related to dentistry. Ability to perform vital sign checks and assist in patient assessments. Experience or training in prosthodontics is advantageous but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on patient interaction. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills, including proficiency in using 3D scanners.
