Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator / Dental AssistantPosition Overview Important This position requires previous dental office experience. Candidates without dental front desk experience, dental insurance knowledge, or the ability to support the clinical team will not be considered. Our busy dental practice is seeking an experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Front Desk Coordinator who can also assist in the clinical area when needed. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have prior dental office experience, understand dental insurance, and be comfortable working both at the front desk and in the back office assisting the clinical team. Spanish fluency is required. If you do not have previous dental office experience, please do not apply. ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Responsibilities Greet and check in patients professionally and efficiently. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims. Explain treatment estimates, copayments, and patient financial responsibilities. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Confirm appointments and manage patient communications in both English and Spanish. Coordinate treatment plans and assist with patient scheduling. Clinical Support Responsibilities Assist the dentist and hygienist as needed during procedures. Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection-control standards. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and assist with digital scanning when qualified. Set up instruments and materials for procedures. Support patient flow between the front office and clinical areas. Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort througho ut treatment.Required Qualifications Fluent in both English and Spanish. Minimum of 2 years of dental office experience preferred. Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification, claims processing, and treatment estimates. Experience with Open Dental software. Understanding of dental terminology and common dental procedures. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental environment. Reliable, professional, and team-oriented. Preferred Qualifications Dental Assisting experience. X-ray certification (if required by state regulations). Experience with treatment coordination and patient financing.
