Dental Hygienist position in North Hollywood CA. Part-time Position

Duties

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews
• Using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ( Opendental + XDR)
• Rarely will take radiographs
• Spanish-speaking ( Highly encouraged)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety

Experience

• Proven experience as a dental hygienist in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing
• Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment
• Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills
• Prior experience working with Opendental and reviewing medical records to ensure comprehensive patient assessments
