Orthodontic Assistant Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Orthodontist to provide exceptional patient care while ensuring an efficient and positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist the Orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments. Take and process dental images, including X-rays and digital scans, as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions. Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Communicate professionally with patients and team members using appropriate dental terminology Qualifications Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant. Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, dental terminology, and dental anatomy. Familiarity with dental imaging equipment and digital record systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, professional, and patient-focused. Current certifications required by state regulations (such as radiology certification, if applicable) are preferred.
