Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/ Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring smooth operations in the clinic, assisting with patient care, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in dental software systems, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. Workdays are Thurday, Friday and two Saturdays/month. This is a part time opportunity to start with and option to add more days in the future
Duties
- Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials needed for treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Record and update medical documentation accurately in the patient management system.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety.
- Provide support in endodontic procedures by preparing the necessary tools and materials.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental receptionist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices related to dental care.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding endodontic procedures.
- Ability to monitor vital signs effectively and respond to patient needs compassionately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Certification in Dental Assisting and X ray license
